SONGS OF THE EASTERN MARI

“SONGS OF THE EASTERN MARI” (“Ervel mariy muro-vlak”), a set of samples of the Mari folklore (Yoshkar-Ola, 1994). Compiled by G.G. Gadiatov. The collection includes materials from the folklore expedition of the 1990s by the Mari Research Institute of Language, Literature, and History to various districts of the RB. It consists of an introductory article and 12 sections. The collection contains songs (in Russian and Mari) of the Eastern Mari arranged by themes. The book is provided with comments and a dictionary of the Eastern Mari dialect.
